Nina Lorez Collins on FLAUNT!

Have you ever lain in bed at night and worried about, oh, everything? If you are anything like me, Nina Lorez Collins, and most of the women involved in the Woolfer community, the answer is a resounding yes! Instead of suffering silently, Nina created a safe, private Facebook community where she could connect with girlfriends and they could unabashedly talk about their feelings on aging, stress, relationships, and everything they were struggling, but were unable to find the level of support or answers that they desired.

Before long, her small private group had turned into a large, active and powerful group of women from all over the world who were candidly sharing their stories and experiences on a wide variety of very private topics. Inspired, Nina wrote her first book, What Would Virginia Woolf Do? And Other Questions I Ask Myself As I Attempt to Age Without Apology, which is part memoir/part resource and funny take on aging for women in the second half of their lives. Which was great, but it most certainly was not enough.

But the book and the group were not enough. Nina’s group had taken on such a life of its own that she soon realized that it needed to be moved to its own platform and app. Nina realized that it was time to step fully into her calling, and to live her sparkle and FLAUNT! and cultivate this platform as fully as only she could. So she did! Today The Woolfer is a subscription-based network of women from all over the world who desire real, raw, authentic conversation and connection with other women.

The wild success of her new Woolfer App ( for women over 40 proves several things. First, that there is a significant need for resources and support for women that is not being addressed by our society. No, women don’t want just another prescription, a patronizing physician, or a new knitting pattern. Women want resources, information and support with regards to sex, menopause, insomnia, stress, parenting, empty nesting, entertainment, dating, relationships, aging, work and everything else under the sun. Second, women want deep, authentic connection with other women who are ready to be brutally honest, speak their truth, and refuse to judge one another or engage in drama. Lastly, it proves that it’s never too late to follow our dreams, listen to the calling of our heart or to step back and be led.
